International students add significant value to our higher education with the cultural diversity, academic contribution and global collaborations they provide and contribute to the promotion of our country in the international arena. Therefore, increasing the number of international students, which constitutes an important part of our country's internationalization strategy, is among our main goals.

In order to attract more qualified and international students to our universities, our YÖK Presidency has added the Turkey Foreign Student Admission Exam (TR-YÖS) to the criteria evaluated in the international student admission processes of our universities. Conducted by the Center for Evaluation, Selection and Placement (ÖSYM) since January 2023, TR-YÖS is held twice a year in 52 countries and 78 centers in Turkish, German, Arabic, French, English and Russian.

This year, the 1st Term TR-YÖS, which will be held on May 11, 2025, will be open to applications between February 13 and March 12, 2025. Students who miss the application dates will be provided with a late application opportunity between March 18-20, 2025.
