Consultation Meeting on International Students Held with Artvin Provincial Immigration Administration

A consultation meeting was held between Artvin Provincial Migration Administration and our University on September 24, 2024 regarding the registration, residence procedures and situations encountered by international students in the 2024-2025 academic year.

The meeting was attended by Artvin Provincial Migration Administration Director Akif ESEN, Provincial Migration Expert Assistant Hakan DURMUŞ, Vice Rector responsible from our university Prof. Dr. Murat KİBAR, Student Affairs Department Head Mustafa Ünver SABUNCU, Student Affairs Branch Manager Süleyman ÇELİK and International Student Office Responsible Lec. Ercan SOYSAL.

The problems encountered, disruptions and what needs to be done in accordance with the protocol signed between YÖK and DIRECTORATE OF IMMIGRATION MANAGEMENT last year were discussed at the meeting. Artvin Provincial Migration Administration Director Akif ESEN stated that they would be happy to help with any issue regarding foreign students and their procedures and that they are always open to all kinds of communication. He also stated that they would be happy to help our University in this regard.

It was emphasized that it was pleasing for both parties that the foreign students who registered to our University this year did not encounter any problems regarding residence.

The fact that both institutions conduct business in close relations with international students makes the procedures of students coming to Artvin very easy. It was stated that this situation would be an important factor in foreign students choosing Artvin Coruh University.

The meeting ended with mutual good wishes and hopes after the questions were asked and answered.
