New Term Evaluation Meeting Held with Artvin Provincial Migration Administration for International Students

A consultation meeting was held between Artvin Provincial Immigration Administration and our University on 13.02.2025 regarding the registration, residence procedures and situations encountered by international students in the 2024-2025 academic year.

Artvin Provincial Immigration Administration Director Akif ESEN, Provincial Immigration Expert Asst. Gürkan KARABULUT, Vice Rector responsible from our university Prof. Dr. Murat KİBAR, Student Affairs Department Head Mustafa Ünver SABUNCU, Chief Saim DURDU and International Student Office Responsible Lecturer Ercan SOYSAL attended the meeting.

In accordance with the protocol signed between YÖK and IMMIGRATION ADMINISTRATION PRESIDENCY last year, the problems encountered, disruptions and what needs to be done were discussed at the meeting. Artvin Provincial Immigration Administration Director Akif ESEN stated that they would be happy to help with any issue regarding foreign students and their procedures and that they are always open to all kinds of communication. He also stated that they would be happy to assist our University in this regard.

An additional letter such as a possible graduation date was requested for students who could not graduate this year within the normal education period at our university and applied to the immigration office for an extension.

In terms of international students, the fact that both institutions conduct business in close relations makes the procedures of students coming to Artvin extremely easy. It was stated that this situation will be an important factor in foreign students choosing Artvin Coruh University.

The meeting ended with mutual good wishes and hopes after asking and answering mutually curious questions.
