Rector Aydın Holds a Series of Meetings in Tbilisi on the Fourth Day of His Official Visit

Rector of Artvin Çoruh University Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aydın continued his official visit to Georgia with a series of meetings held in Tbilisi on the fourth day of the program.

The Rector was accompanied by Dr. Hakan Gültekin, Director of the Center for International Relations, and Dr. Mehmet Ali Keskin. The delegation first visited the Agricultural University of Georgia, a long-standing partner institution that had previously cooperated with Artvin Çoruh University within the framework of the multinational European Union project GreenChem. Rector Aydın met with Prof. Dr. Vato Lejava, Rector of the Agricultural University of Georgia, and Prof. Dr. Elizbar Elizbarashvili, the project coordinator. During the meeting, Rector Aydın expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing partnership between the two universities and emphasized the importance of taking new steps to develop international collaborations, particularly in the field of medicinal and aromatic plants.

Later in the day, Rector Aydın and his delegation visited the Georgian Technical University, one of the country’s oldest and most prestigious higher education institutions. Over the past four years, the two universities have successfully carried out student and staff exchanges under the Erasmus+ KA171 program. Rector Aydın underlined the need to further strengthen the cooperation between the two institutions and listened with great interest to a presentation delivered by the Georgian Technical University delegation. He expressed his pleasure in collaborating with Georgia’s leading technical university and highlighted the importance of developing new joint initiatives in the coming period.
