Rector Aydın Strengthens Academic and Business Ties in Tbilisi on the Fifth Day of His Official Visit

Rector of Artvin Çoruh University Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aydın continued his official visit to Georgia with a series of meetings held in Tbilisi on the fifth day of the program. The first visit of the day was to the Georgia-Turkey Businessmen Association (GÜRTİAD), where Rector Aydın met with the delegation led by Turkish businessman Oktay Öztürk. During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to strengthen university–industry cooperation, including the development of joint research and innovation projects, as well as expanding internship and practical training opportunities for students.
Later, the delegation visited Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, known as the first university in the Caucasus and still one of the region’s leading academic institutions. Rector Aydın met with Prof. Dr. Jaba Samusha, Rector of the university, and members of the administration. The meeting, held in a friendly atmosphere, laid the foundation for closer academic collaboration between the two institutions and explored opportunities for future joint projects.
Rector Aydın was accompanied by Dr. Hakan Gültekin, Director of the Center for International Relations, and Dr. Mehmet Ali Keskin. The program concluded with a visit to the Georgian State University, where the delegation toured the Department of Turkology’s Turkish Language classroom. Rector Aydın met with students, engaged in conversation, and emphasized the importance of language learning in fostering intercultural understanding and academic exchange.
