Tiny Hands Meet Nature: Sapling Planting by Yeni Mahalle Students

ARTVIN – Students from Artvin Yeni Mahalle Primary School participated in a meaningful event designed to raise environmental awareness and reinforce a love for nature. The school's 4th-grade students came together in an organization arranged in collaboration with the Artvin Çoruh University (ACU) Forestry Application and Research Center.

Held at the Artvin Çoruh University Seyitler Campus, the event saw the young students planting saplings in the soil under the guidance of university staff and their teachers. During the exciting planting process, students gained practical knowledge on how to properly plant a tree and the importance of the "first water" given to new saplings.

Following the completion of the planting activity, the program continued with a technical tour. The students visited the greenhouse and nursery areas belonging to the Forestry Application and Research Center.

Here, the students had the opportunity to observe the plant cultivation stages on-site and received information from experts about the process from seed to tree. The event concluded with enjoyable moments as the students spent time immersed in nature.
